Letters

Hello beauties, so yesterday I was talking with my mum and my nan about the olden times, and how they wrote letters to each other instead of sending emails or texting people. So I told my Nan I would write her a letter, I kept my promise and I did. I really hope she likes it because it's the first letter I have ever hand written.

I love my nan so much and she means so much to me. I told her that in the letter and I have also offered to take her for lunch and of course I will pay for everything.

What's in my make up bag?

Hello beauties, my name is Heather and I've just started this blog so what better to do than start off my blog with a what's in my make up bag?

My make up bag doesn't consist of that many things as I don't use that much make up. The make up bag I use is from Jack Wills:

This is one of my favourite bags, and it is very big inside. When I got this, I bought it for £9.50 after the discount was taken off.

So, my first item of make up in my bag is one I use every day is:

Maybelline New York mascara's.

Using mascara is a daily essential for me as I can't go out of the house with out a bit of mascara. So the purple one is the falsies volum express flared mascara. This one is the one is mostly as it was the first one I bought out of the two. The yellow mascara is the colossal volum express cat eyes mascara. I've used this once or twice. Both of these mascara's have the curled brush so it gives you an even spread of the mascara on your eyelashes. I prefer curled brushes to normal ones because they fit around my eyelashes better.

So the next item from my make up bag is:

Hide The Blemish Concealer

So this concealer is so good, and I would highly recommend it. It is in shade Ivory 001. It is really easy to use and it covers up dark circles and spots. There isn't much else to say about concealer so I will move on to my next item in my bag.

Rimmel London Match Perfection. Ultra Creamy Compact Powder.

I have only recently started using powder on my face and using the concealer below it really helps the powder to stay on. The shade of my powder is in Ivory. This is a really neat compact powder because it comes with a pad underneath and a little mirror so you can use it when you're out and about which is really handy!

Now that I am down with my face, I will now move onto what I put on my lips.

So my first item is:

Nivea - Sooth and Protect

I use this Nivea lip balm a lot and it really helps with dry lips. Also this lip balm makes your lips really smooth, even in the winter.

The next item of what I put on my lips is:

No7 High Shine Lip Gloss

This lip gloss tastes amazing, which may sound odd, but it does. Its in the shade smile. This lip gloss makes your lips really shiny and glossy. I love this colour as well as it matches with everything. I highly recommend this lip gloss to try! 

The next thing in my make up bag:

Brush, Nail File and Tweezers

These are essentials to have in my make up bag. I rarely use my brush as I don't really apply any blusher on, but I have it just in case if I want to use it for applying my powder. You would probably think that I use my nail file for nails, right? Well in actual fact I use it to separate my eyelashes if they stick together after applying mascara. I use my tweezers a lot and they are really good ones, but I can't remember where I got them from.

So the next items are ones that I need in my bag all the time:

Cotton Wool Pads and Cotton Buds

I use these mainly for removing excess make up around my eyes. The cotton wool pads are used when I am taking off big bits of make up and also when I am removing my nail varnish. The cotton buds are used when I have little bits of mascara on my eyelid that I need to remove carefully.

The next thing in my make up bag isn't really anything to do with make up:

Rimmel London 60 seconds Nail Varnish

This nail varnish is one of my favourite colours. I am not a huge fan of Rimmel I must say, I'm more of a Barry M girl, but this nail varnish is excellent. It takes 60 seconds to dry so if you are in a hurry you will know that they dry in 60 seconds and with the wider brush you can get a more even spread on your nails and it is much easier and quicker with the bigger brush. The colour of this nail varnish is in style coral.

Last thing that is in my make up bag is:

Navy blue hair bow with white polka dots

This is definatly nothing to do with make up, but I have an obsession with hair bows. I just think they are cute and adorable and you can wear them in your hair to make you a bit different than everyone else. I like putting this bow just infront of my hair when I have it in a bun. It gives the bun a different look.
